Malaysia's deputy law minister M Kulasegaran has unveiled plans for a new bar course to replace the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP), featuring a six-month practical training component for law graduates.
Malaysia is phasing out the Certificate in Legal Practice examination in favour of a New Bar Course focused on practical legal training. Two new programmes—a three-month Conversion Course and six-month Legal Practice Postgraduate Certificate—will serve local and overseas law graduates differently.
